Laser Minipeel™
Laser Minipeel™ is a laser procedure developed by Dr. Rose and her late father to minimize pore size and soften fine lines, wrinkles, and scars, improve skin texture, and refresh skin tone… all done quickly and with no down time. A “lighter” version of Laser Skin Resurfacing, Laser Minipeel provides a quick, no-down time skin surface “tune-up” at an affordable cost.
The Laser Minipeel procedure allows us to treat skin very superficially with carefully calibrated light pulses to remove undesired skin cells and allow fresh skin cells to replace them. Following this one time treatment, the upper skin layer (epidermis) peels slowly and almost imperceptibly over a period of five to seven days, leaving a smoother, tighter, and younger looking skin surface.
The incredible feature of Laser Minipeel is that, after the approximately 20 minute procedure, you can go right back to work or resume your daily activities immediately. There is little to no swelling. Make-up can be applied as usual. There will only be the appearance of slight sunburn as the skin surface “peels off and is replaced by fresh skin.
This treatment differs from so-called “Micro-Dermabrasion” in which metallic or silicon particles are forcibly blown onto the skin in a sand-blasting- like procedure. Micro-Dermabrasion usually requires multiple treatments which can entail considerable downtime. Likewise, Laser Minipeel involves none of the safety risks of some chemical peel treatments. It is Dr. Roses’ opinion that neither of these commonly marketed methods – Micro-Dermabrasion or chemical peels – are as safe, quick, or effective as Laser Minipeel.
