Skin Cancer Exam & Surgery
The three most common types of skin cancer are Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Melanoma. All skin cancers are more likely to be cured with early detection and definitive treatment. Cure frequently includes surgical excision that can be done as an “in office” procedure. Dr. Rose uses meticulous skills to not only remove the cancer completely, but to leave the best cosmetic results. Often sutures (stitches) are used to achieve these results, which are taken out in 7-14 days. Occasionally topical creams may be used instead or in conjunction with surgery for treatment. When necessary Dr. Rose has several skilled physicians, she works closely with to achieve the most definitive treatment and cure. Dr. Rose will help you determine what the best course of action will be.
Often patients recognize these lesions themselves. They often appear as red scaly non-healing bumps or irregularly pigmented bumps. Dr. Rose recommends regular skin exams by a Board Certified Dermatologist. Some lesions can be difficult to discern. If you are interested in a full body exam, please call or email our office to schedule a “head to toe” exam.
