Acne/Scar Reduction
Don’t let acne scars and other scars diminish your appearance or make you feel self-conscious any longer! Advanced new technologies can help make scars fade to the point of almost disappearing.
Acne scars have long been difficult to correct, with the previous dermabrasion and other resurfacing treatments often achieving disappointing results. Correction of scars, birthmarks, trauma scars, and stretchmarks, have been equally problematic. Now, these blemishes can be very successfully treated at Rose Dermatology utilizing these technologies:
Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that pairs microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy. It uses tiny needles to deliver RF energy deep into your skin, creating micro lesions that trigger your body’s natural healing response and promote production of new collagen and elastin, to firm and remodel skin.
Fractora is a state-of-the-art fractional radiofrequency (RF) treatment that targets scars through a combination of fractional ablation, coagulation, and heating. This minimally invasive treatment uses a matrix of micro-pins with sub-dermal radiofrequency heating to resurface, restore, and repair skin structure. In addition to scar reduction, Fractora provides the additional benefit of enhancing the texture, color, and elasticity of each treated area.
Laser Resurfacing utilizes targeted laser energy to induce trauma to the scarred tissue on and below the skin surface. The targeted scar area which has been ablated then peels off and is replaced by new, healthier skin which softens and fades the appearance of the scar.
Laser Minipeel, a procedure developed by Dr. Rose and her late father, is an economical “in and out” twenty-minute laser procedure that treats skin very superficially to remove unwanted surface skin cells and allows fresh cells to replace them. This procedure is effective in softening and minimizing fine lines and refreshing skin tone and texture.
Fillers. Depending on the depth and location of indented scars or imperfections, an array of fillers can be used to smooth out and restore the skin surface. Some scars that are tethered down with collagen fibers will benefit from subcision (a procedure for breaking the fibrous tissues causing the indentation) in conjunction with filler for enhancement of skin appearance.
Micro-Needling is a safe, defective non-laser treatment that accelerates tour skin’s production of collagen, resulting in a newer, refreshed, more elastic skin texture.
